The idea
An hour where nothing is asked of you
Elevate Sound creates warm, ethereal sound bath experiences. Natural materials, golden tones and the resonance of bowls, in a room set up for rest rather than performance.
Most of what people carry into the room is the feeling that they ought to be doing something. So the sessions are built to remove that. There is no posture to hold, no breathing pattern to keep up with, nothing to repeat and nothing to remember. You lie down, and the hour happens around you.
Everything is played live. White crystal singing bowls, hand-played Tibetan bowls, tingsha and chimes, moving around the room rather than coming from one place. Nothing is recorded and nothing comes out of a speaker.

Three decisions that shape the hour
The door closes on time
Doors open ten minutes before the start and close when we begin. A door opening halfway through pulls the whole room out of it, so late entry is not possible. That is not strictness for its own sake.
Nobody is rushed off the floor
The last few minutes are quiet on purpose, and there is time to come back before anyone stands up. Being hurried out of it undoes most of the hour.
Where
Ramsgate, and the rest of Thanet
Public sessions run at The Falstaff Hotel on Addington Street, a few minutes up from the Royal Harbour. A place is £25 for the hour.
A boutique hotel, deli and restaurant on Addington Street, a few minutes from the Royal Harbour. The room is warm and soft, the lights go down, and there is free parking at the rear.
Private sessions travel: Margate, Broadstairs and the rest of Thanet comfortably, and wider east Kent depending on the date.
